My ears are tuned into what is happening in Russia. I am concerned for al of my brothers and sisters in Russia whether in the military or not. many years ago my ears were tuned for a different reason and that was the dreaded call to report to my duty station and get ready to fight a war. Praise God I am both too old to serve in a direct combat role and very much a peace loving Christian. I also thank God that our countries will not be at war any time soon.
Last night I was praying for Russia and its people, especially for those of you that are already devoted to our savior Jesus Christ. I prayed that the Lord would bring the corrupt politicians in Russia to their knees, exposing their corruption to the world and that the people of Russia would be able to gain control of their government. I also prayed that the war in Chechnya would stop and the Russian government be made to back off.
I prayed for the United States that the power in our government would be taken away from our corrupt politicians. The US is being judged for turning away from God. Children in public schools aren't allowed to even say a prayer to themselves in the classroom without risk of being expelled. We continue to practice abortion. A lawyer in Buffalo Grove Illinois has had nativity scenes removed and crosses removed from churches because he thinks it interferes with his rights as a Atheist.
I may have Royal Ranger boys interested in communicating with your boys on the internet. I still have to get it approved by others and maybe even our pastor who has been to Russia on a missions trip. He is Dr. Johnny Ashburn, if it is his wish that this happens it will likely be done.
Interesting in American History I have read recently. In 1866 we had a full moon on Dec. 22. All over Wyoming Territory, the Lakota Sioux Indians had many successful attacks on our army that night because the moon was so bright it gave away the positions of the US soldiers. I think it used to be the Indians belief that it was not safe to attack at night because the evil spirits were out at night. Evidently, they didn't think the evil spirits were out that night probably because it was too light.
On a lighter note, Merry Christmas.
Is the hymn Silent Night in the Russian culture? If not I would like to send you a copy. I think it sounds most beautiful when sung in four parts, tenor, lead, baritone and base.

Hello Yall,Have a Merry Christmas! It is a wonderful season.
I was out of the net for a while. So I guess you know now about Russian Duma
elections. Still I want to say it. God has really blessed us, and now
Communists don't have that majority in the government. It's not so easy now
for communists to veto good laws, and do what THEY want. I believe, God is
really changing country. Pray for us guys (and girls too :-))). So that
government would be free from corruption, selfishness. So that finally guys
in authority started to think about bringing up country, restore
economics... PRAISE GOD FOR THESE ELECTIONS. And of course, pray for the
elections of Russia's President in Summer 2000. We need Godly president.
Amen.Blagoslavit vas Bog (God Bless You)
