A couple of years back after a nasty wind storm, our outpost went on a day hike, nature study trip.  While on the trip we came to a place where there were a lot of down trees with there roots exposed.  This was perfect for the nature study part because it showed the complete root system and how the roots spread out to get nourishment from around the lake and surrounding area.  As we were there, God laid a devotion on my heart and it went something like this.

As you could see from the destruction of the trees with there roots exposed, they were not strong enough to withstand the wind that came through the area and up-rooted them.  It was also noted that the trees that were destroyed were the ones that were on there own and not with the forest.  The trees that were together survived the storm.  They were able to keep there roots planted deep to stay in place.

Like the trees, we need to stay together to withstand the storms that satin cast upon us.  Like the trees that did not stay in close with the fellowship were the first to be destroyed.
We as rangers need to stay together and stay as close as we can to God so as not to be destroyed with winds that satin will blow against us.  Going off on our own and trying to do things in Gods name without his presence will destroy you.  Stay with the fellowship and build up each other to defeat satin.

To reach, teach and keep is our goal.  Doing it together is the best way.
