That sounds strange but the boys in our trail rangers still talk about the
snapping turtle that I cleaned one night during a s/a meeting. They couldnt
get over the fact that the head would still bite after it was removed
several minutes later. The really fascinating point was when I finally had
the shell opened up and I hand the noys the heart which was still beating at
least 30 minutes after I killed the turtle.
