Dear Spirit Rider
I have been in your situation more than once. I was told to get a job and when I asked for one they couldn't help me. This must be one of Gods tests he has on file and I failed a couple of times. The only thing is God does not always give us a grade on our tests but gives them to us as a learning experience. I have been otu of work recently because of my usual affliction "he's too slow and makes mistakes". One of the brothers in our congregation helped me out by referring mr to a job driving a delivery van for a electric supplier. It turned out that I love driving and am fairly efficient at it. The place of the Chicago area that just drives me nuts with traffic was my frequent route. it turned out that driving for hire changed my tolerance level and I had no problem driving in that area. What the problem was is that my boss was not a Christian by the remotest sense and incredibly lost. When i would come in inthe morning he as so crabby that I couldn't look at him and was equally crabby to the customers. His language was terribly abusive and created a lot of stress. When I was on the road I was fine I will attribute the fact that I can get about four Christian Radio stations in the area so I was constantly being fed with the word, being sootheds whith praise music or praising God myself. I found that being independent is a good thing for me. I had to quit this tyrant and unemployment is trying to deny me benefits. Things have been kind of rough for me too.
The ones that try to take you down because you don't have a job ask them if they can offer you a job. If I knew you well I could give you advice but for now all I can do is pray for you. All I can say is keep looking.
