-=A=- is an only child.. In fact I have very few relatives and can share that
growing up
OCS was a weird experience. "woerdness breeds wierd-o's...I'm ->A No.1<-!"

The boy is in need of fair treatment to judge his behavior. I had a different
hurdle in
being "shy" and too serious<G> Finding a balance will be a maturity mark, as the
learning
curve is steep.

When you grow up figuring everything out without siblings... You tend to feel
older than your
years and resent being treated as a child while still a youth. For me.. because
I didn't want to "make problems"
I was quiet and that made it handy for my Dad to allow me into Adult
conversations with his Ranger buddies..

Later in life this insight didn't help..

Your age states the culture you will grow with for the rest of your life.
Getting to a stage where you
feel comfortable with friends... is the better route. *Social interaction is a
GOLD POINT.

Kids that "get in a snoot" are just reaction machines. *No thought.. no concern
for what others think because they live and succeed in a privet world outside of
what other boys deal with.

(I can go on for some time describing why this boy feels as he does, but I'll
wait to be asked<G>)

The remedy---

*Is for this boy to read portions of the Bible that deal with wisdom.. he will
find that humility is a virtue.
I just slipped and busted my legs on an Icy street... *I'm experianceing
humbleness right now<G> Pain too!<G>

*Pain has no "virture"
