Dear Cheif Flaming Hair:
Thank you for sharing that testimony. I have had my share of difficult boys, especially the ones that can't sit still. When I look at them I see me when I was in grade school. I couldn't get myself to anything but draw pictures and when I would get tired I would wander around the room. In the 1960s there was no question you were labeled as dumb. I still have the scars but the wounds are healed. I had a particular problem with a boy that I knew was taking medicine for his behavior who kept hitting other boys. He was a challenge but just being his freind meant a lot. he knew that there were consequences for wrong behavior but he still knew that I was his freind.

I tried that recipe for fried hominy. It was go-o-o-o-d! next time I will try adding a few more things to it like green pepper and a dash of cayenne pepper to clean out my sinuses. If you can receive attachments I have a recipe for tomato soup cake. it is an old one my parents had around. My dad still makes it once in a while.

I had something wonderful happen at a meeting a couple of weeks ago and my
husband thought I should post it. . .

It was a regular SA meeting, but we had a boy present who is undisciplined,
unchurched, rough, likes to wrestle, hit and knock furniture around.  His
name is Micah.

I tried and tried with Micah to get him to be still pay attention show him we
were going to have fun.  Didn't work.

Finally I got frustrated.  I gave up.  Several boy including Micah had
brought snacks that night.  So I told Micah, you are going to learn to be a
servant.  So by himself he served each boy one serving of everything one at a
time as I prepared them.

After everyone was served I asked the other boys while Micah was still
standing "Boys what do we say to Micah for serving us?"

A big chorus of Thank yous went up.  Then best of all and I know it was God
cause I did not tell the boys they one by one got up and gave Micah hugs.  He
was so happy.

So I asked Micah who got the bigger blessing?  He just grinned.

Last night we only had popcorn for snack and as it was popping Micah come up
and asked me Chief Flaming Hair?  Can I be the servant tonight?

I was so thrilled by the change in his attitude.  He's still a little active
but he sat mostly in his seat.  He kept quiet when he was supposed to and
asked our guest speaker questions.

Micah and I now have a bond which I hope to build with God's foundation in
place.

PS
Now all the other boys want to be servants too.

I hope this blesses everyone as it has blessed me.
