A child was born to a couple who were atheist. For five years they never spoke of God, the bible, or of anything about any kind of faith. One night, the father came home and in a rage, shot and killed the mother and then killed himself. All of this in front of the child. The police took the shocked child to the welfare center which cared for her and finally found a foster home in which she could live. The foster couple had a religious background and took the child to church and put her into the Sunday school class. They told the teacher that this child had never heard of God and knew nothing of the bible. The teacher, knowing the situation decided to start the class easy. She held up a picture of Jesus and ask if anyone knew who this was? To her surprise, the little girl held up her hand and said that she did. The teacher said " and who do you think this is"? The little girl said "That's the man who held me the night my parents died" ****************************
