Me again! I learned a good trick from reading about the Indians (cannot remember which nation). They made a thong out of leather stuffed it with corn, stones or whatever was on hand and sown it like two bean bags with a leather cord holding them together.
They would then in vent games by running and passing the thong to each other on their team.
I took an old sock and filled it with stones, then gave it to the Buckaroos and told them how to pass the thong and score a goal. I'm not the best at running games but I think with older boys this may be something that works well.
