You don't use the star. Before the mid-nineties, when LTC book five was
completed, a gold pyramid was placed on the LMA centered on the ribbon part
of the LMA Class "A" Medal. The star was used instead of a pyramid on the
LMA Class "B" Ribbon. About 1994-5-6 the pyramid for book five was don away
with.

Subject: [Leaders] B/SA Medal Help

We recently ordered and received our B/SA Medal of Achievement Class B
Ribbon. We also received one standard LMA Ribbon. The B/SA Ribbon
came with a little gold star that we assume you push through the ribbon
to hold it on the mounting bar. The standard LMA ribbon did not come
with the star, and the star is not shown in the catalog.
What is correct? Do we use the star or not?

Thanks for your help.
