Pardon my ignorance here...

On page 118 of my leaders manual (and two other places) it says that a boy cannot start working on the requirements of the next level until he is old enough to be eligible for that level. (pardon me for not quoting but the manual is not in front of me). One of the dads pointed this out to me last night. He of course happens to be the dad of an 11-year old who has completed his Pioneer requirements including the Gold Track and is ready to move on. It kind of caught me off guard because I was of the mind that we had removed all time requirements and had assumed that when a boy finished Pioneers stuff he would go righ on into TB requirements. BUT, I don't think I have seen that in writing, now that I think on it. I am aware that the GMA requirement page says a boy must be at least 12, but that is not the same thing as starting early. Can anyone point me to something in writing that gives the ok for a boy to go on, or is he not suppose to. No conjecture please, this dad is one of those by-the-book guys.

Thanks
