Dear Rangernetters:
I saw some neat things happen this wekend. Saturday, we had the Pinewood Derby work Day where the Royal Rangers and Keepers Of The Faith could come and work on their cars. The former Senior Commander Marty came and cuit out the cars for the kids on his scroll saw. He also brought a belt sander and a spindle sander. I started sanding cars for the boys and girls that were afraid of the sanders and then a dad came and took over the sanding. We had fifty kids show up to work on their cars. Commanders and parents all pitched in to help.

*Wow..!

So parents enjoyed working with their kids?   ..and trusted the "framework or program/reason" to be under the
domain of Royal Rangers? *Cool.. Now that you had a success.. Build on it! at the least *Plan to do it again next year.

What if the Parents... were asked to be Ranger backers? A Parent/Commander fellowship where the resource base was
expanded byond what Commander could do on his own?  A lot of the "work" of Commander can be given away to as you
say next to "Free" you to do the job....  *Yes a parent might.. have to attend an event or provide some snacks or craft
material... *But you know and so does every Commander that perhaps a little scrap wood and nails can make a treasure..

An that makes the burden light.. *success breeds success

Eventually all we commanders had to do was float around and help where needed. this freed us up to be commanders.

*Commander is a "No-Sweat" job <G> (yea..right)

today after church I got a chance to play with a couple of my Pioneers and other Ranger boys in a spur of the moment snowball fight. We all had a ball (literally).
Thanks for your prayers Duane they were needed when I was down and out.

Be encouraged... the brotherhood of fellowship that we have togather as Leaders is strong medicine.. But we serve
a healing Jesus.. and promote the Gospel of peace. We gain insight by the promtings of the Holy Spirit, and our
work is never complete. *Along the trail are rest stops and views of the far Horizon... look at the flowers along the path,
and as you become tired, rest to gain striength for the next switchback.

The GoldenRule promises that if I lift you, I will be lifted.. *Brother! Get up and MOVE!<G>

We have a job to do!
