We purchased our aluminum track and built the wood frame. The track was
purchased from Beta Crafts in Jackson New Jersey 1-609-655-1940. With the
purchase of the track, you receive a blue print to build the wood frame.
I built the computer finish line detector from the internet.
www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Trails/747/
(geocities is case sensitive Must be a UNIX server) Attached is a copy of the
Finish line detector from the internet.
We purchase our cars from Indy Products Mooresville IN 317-831-1114
www.IndyProducts.com. These 'Indy Kit Derby Racers' have straight axles, (no
nails), and the new design uses pennies for weights. The cars are $2.20 each in
bulk. We purchase about 40 at a time. By using pennies you save 2.25 per car
on the GPH price for lead weights.
If you build this finish line detector, I rewrote the program to run under
Windows, not the GW Basic program the web site shows. I also made many
additions to the program.
