Howdy Fellas!! I have been "listening" for quite sometime.
Every now and then I will post something out there for the world to
read.Well I have bottled some emotion up and now it has to come
out.
Paul talked about now idly discussing genealogies, I feel like we
have gotten away from the true nature of the ministry. It is about boys
souls. Not whether you agree with a person or not. As a pastor it disturbs
me to hear guys say that they don't like, agree, appreciate, whatever word
you would choose to use. Contrary to what some would believe, the pastor
holds the vision and the overall direction for a church. We have to believe
in faith that God is speaking to him with wisdom, patience, and strength. We
are on this ring of discussion, and we are tottering in and out of gossip. I
would be willing to bet that 97% of the things we say here we wouldn't to
the front or back of our Pastors, friends, and so forth. May I remind us all
that this is 1 of the 7 deadly sins.
Lastly, for those that are going on about this that or the other
between you and your pastor, co-LABORER, may I please remind us all of 2
things. 1st - The last shall be first - the greatest in the kingdom of God
is the servant. If pastor, leader, Sr. Com. doesn't want a particular way,
as a servant it is our job to conform to that way. If we can't then it is
our job to go and find a place where we feel that we can fit with the vision
of that ministry. 2nd - We from time to time rabble about how rough things
are, let us not forget that there are churches that have barely living RR
programs. There is tons of vision and heart in 1 or 2 men, but nothing else.
RR Net should be use as place for those to come out and say "Hey, I am
hurting here, I need help." If I wasn't founded in my ministry and in
my relationship with Christ, I couldn't come on RR Net and say
anything.
Please know that I know that to speak into someone's life there has
to be a level of permission and trust. Both of which I have neither with
anyone out here. This is a hard word, but JC is coming back and there are
boys souls on the line, and we spend more time about other things, than the
things that we should be spending time on!! Please know as a shepherd, we
have to do what is best for the flock, not always for the individual sheep.
But when we do what is best for the flock, it always is best for the
individual sheep. It just maybe not what they wanted!!
I
pray that God's grace and mercy would come out through this message. It is
not meant to condemn or cast judgement. This is a prodding to do what is
Holy in the sight of God!!
In
His Service,
Pastor Dan
