This is an update on Pastor Hoyts condition. They are posting it on the chruch website http://www.bellevuechristian.com/ Steve Pastor Hoyt Update Thursday, March 2 Pastor Hoyt's rehab and therapy today is curbed due to his limited physical and emotional strength. Continue to pray in the areas indicated yesterday. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Wednesday, March 1 Yesterday Pastor Hoyt was transferred from Kearney to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. The move was very rough on his body and required he be heavily sedated. He continues to have problems with the pain medications which hinders him receiving the rest his body desperately needs. Today he is scheduled to begin receiving his baseline evaluations with respiratory, occupational and physical therapists. We ask you to continue to demonstrate restraint and not visit Pastor or Laurie at the rehabilitation center. We do ask that you continue to pray for Gary's total healing and recovery. Pray that doctor's will be able to identify a pain medication that Pastor will be able to tolerate. Also continue to pray rest and strength for Laurie as she labors to make Gary comfortable through this process. You may mail your cards of encouragement to: Pastor Gary & Laurie Hoyt 5401 South Street Lincoln, NE 68506 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Tuesday, February 29 There was no update for Tuesday. Please check again tomorrow and keep praying. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Monday, February 28 Today Pastor Hoyt was able to spend some time sitting up in a chair. He was also able to digest some solid food and speak for the first time since his surgery on Thursday. He is gaining more strength in his his arms and upper body and there also was more feeling in his finger tips. There is a good possibility he will be leaving the hospital and moved to a regional rehabilitation center this week. Danny and Anna are recovering well as they attempt this week to return to school and gain some sense of normalcy in their lives. Please do not send flowers or cards to the hospital. Send your letters and cards to their home or the church (1400 Harvell Drive, Bellevue, NE 68005). Several people have inquired how they might make financial donations to support the Hoyt's. The church board is currently developing the process with the church business office. The process will be outlined as soon as possible on this web site. Thanks for your patience. Areas of prayer: Continue to pray for Pastor's healing and that he would be able to get the rest his body so desperately needs during the healing process. Pray for Laurie, Danny and Anna's strength and comfort as they support Pastor Gary's recovery. Pray God's wisdom for Laurie as she makes major decisions regarding the Hoyts future living situation. _______ To unsubscribe, send "unsubscribe rangernet" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Eat the hay & spit out the sticks! - A#1's mule" RTKB&G4JC! http://rangernet.org Autoresponder: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
