Dear Mr. Fischer:
I hope my grman etiquette is proper by addressing you as Mister before I know you and excuse me if I am butting into a conversation but I can't help but admire your policy in Germany about keeping politics out of church. May I add also that the church is a sanctuary unto God and sacred which means set apart. I regard the church as set apart and treated special- no gum no paper whads, cleanex in the trash not on the floor and where we worship and talk about God.
Good post.

May I guess that you live in Bavaria? I think Cookoo Clocks are made in Bavaria. I also wish I could apprentice to make them.

Hey, I'm reading everything in RangerNet. I do for example also read the
posts abouts McCain vs. Bush.

My opinion on those is that I don't know if Jesus would discuss this in
RangerNet. I really do like political discussions but at least here in my
church we are of the opinion that political discussion shouldn't take place
in the church but in private. That doesn't mean the churches and christians
aren't interested in politics. We don't have a real separation of state and
religion as you have in the US but I think the churches don't try to
influence politics as much as in the US. They surely do in matters of moral
and ethics but they really try not to be partisan.
