At the risk of repeating myself, I don't think it is time for Christians to
stop being involved in politics. Indeed, I thought it was important to go
vote in Colorado's presidential primary this morning. Turnout was light, as
many people have the "race is over" attitude, and the poll watchers had
almost dozed off to sleep when I arrived for lack of activity. I went to
vote my conscience. I did so. Why? (1) to send a moral message, and (2)
because democratic republics are a safer place if all Christians correctly
regard voting as a DUTY and do so after prayerful research.
My plea is not so much for a particular candidate right now, but for
Christians to NOT abdicate political leadership to the devil's forces.
I know that Christians can and do disagree on particular candidates.
Indeed, I could think of several good reasons to vote for two of the
candidates, and picked one.
