Royal Rangers is a excellent program for boys DJJ Centers. I have been
working in chartered outpost in the South Carolina DJJ for a 1yr 1/2. One
outpost has been running for 3yrs and I have started two new outpost this
year. We have had tremendous success with the boys and with the officers and
staff. We have had at least 300 boys saved in these in outpost meetings. The
outpost are chartered through the AG and two will be dual chartered through
the I.P.H.C.. I feel that God has given me a vision for Royal Rangers in the
DJJ Centers all over the US. These outpost are separate from my local
outpost, many of the local outpost commanders also help with jail outpost
and several of the men in our Men's Ministries help also. To help or to go
on to any of the campuses you have to be at least 18yrs old, so none of the
rangers from our local outpost can go except with special permission. The
juvenals really enjoy coming and it gives us a great chance to work with the
boys in many aspects of their life. We have also developed a follow up
program for the boys when they leave, that way we can place them in a local
outpost and church when they return home. That way we can check up on them
and stop them from becoming part of the revolving door problem. If you have
any questions or comments please let me know.

I dont know what your juvinile centers are like but here in our area you
would not want to have your Ranger meeting there. The enfluance on the
younger boys would be bad. Have a seperate outpost there yes but not the
regular one. Too many of our detainees here in California are hardcore
criminals or gang members, but until they are mainstreamed mixing them with
young Rangers might not be the best idea.
