Ranger Supply Carries this book I have one and I have to agree it is a great book. In my opinion I think this would be a great replacement for the Adventures in camping manual.

My wife and son went to the local Barnes & Noble bookstore and came back with
a neat book on camping skills. It's called The Complete Wilderness Survival
Manual by Hugh McManners. It covers alot of things; not all of them apply
to kids, but the pictures are great and my son is actually reading! Mr.
McManners has more comprehensive books on outdoor skills. This one was
published in Canada a few years ago and is now selling at the discount price
of $9.95. My wife got it for $8.00 with her educator's discount. You might
be able to find it at your local Barnes & Noble store. BTW, I know
homeschoolers get the discount; maybe Ranger leaders can get it for books
used to teach nature study, outdoor skills, etc. Worth checking out.
