John,

Our family sent packages to Honduras after the floods. We also sent packages to
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse. Both times, these
efforts were organized by our church, and we were given a list of what items were
needed. All the info. (including the list) for Operation Christmas Child is on
the web at http://www.samaritan.org/occhome.htm One nice thing about
Operation Christmas Child is that you can do it any time of the year. We did it
in August and were able to get good prices at back-to-school sales. We had each
of our children prepare a package for a child that matched their own age and
gender. They really enjoyed doing it.

Another thought: what about packages for RR outposts in countries with little or
no resources? What would be on that list?
