Dear Rangers,
Here is the second part to the Princess and the Arrow called Sula.

Sula.

(The continuing story of the Island Tribe)

When we left the Captain left the island he told the Chief to wait in the village until his First Officer arrived. They were instructed to listen to what his First Officer had to say. So for a few days the Chief and some of his tribe waited. Not all the tribe wanted to learn these new ways. The main rival to the chief was a man called Sula, meaning terror. When the First Officer arrived he told the tribe what they must do. Many obeyed. Sula did not what to learn so he led a number of people out of the village and into the next one.

This village welcomed Sula and his people. For a long time they had wanted to take over the Chiefs village and now saw the chance. If they could go and bring people out of the village they might be able to persuade them to change back to the old ways. Sula was put in change of this task.

The Chief learnt from the First Officer and was soon the most learned man in the tribe. The First Officer gave him the job of sending out people to other villages and islands. Soon all the islands in the region had people turning to this new way of life and starting their own village.

Sula was angry with this and asked his new chief for permission to go and bring back these people to his village. The chief agreed. While Sula was walking down a path one day, on his way to another village he saw a blinding light. It was the Captain. The Captain said Sula, why do you persecute me? Sula replied Who are you? I am the Captains son But I thought you died! I did, but now I am alive forever more. Sula replied What do you want of me? Get up and go to the next village and seek out Nanis. He will tell you what you must do. So Sula got up and started to walk, but discovered he was now blind. A few of his men led to the village and went to find Nanis. When Nanis arrived at the place where Sula was staying he told him of what the Captain had taught them. Sula accepted this new way of life and as soon as he did he could see again.

Sula then went from village to village telling them of this new way of life. Many feared him because of his past, but many more accepted the new way of life. One day Sula went back to his home village and told them what had happened. They had heard of what he had been doing latterly. Sula said to the Chief My was Sula, meaning terror, but now it is Pula, meaning bringer of life. Sula then went from island to island bring the new way of life to all who would listen. Many were added to the new way of life, not only from what Pula has spoken, but from others who went out from the village.

From that day forward the new way of life spread rapidly.

In Acts 2: 44- 47 we read All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. This was the birth of the Christian Church. Later in Acts we read how Paul became a Christian and went throughout the known world preaching, teaching and keeping people for Jesus.

We have the privilege of carrying on this work. The Lord has called us to Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Mat 28:20).
