Dear Boris:
I am glad to see that Royal Rangers is catching on in Russia.  If I had money to travel abroad I would want to visit Russia some time but first I would have to visit the countries of my ancestry, Germany and Norway. I would love to see Austria and Switzerland as well.
A post asking the Rangernetters what they play in musical instruments makes me think of  a Russian folk instrument called the balalaika. I also like the middle eastern sound of Russian Folk Music.
We took the Pioneers on a day outing in one of our local forest preserves and taught them map and compass and numerous other things including some birds and plants. At this time of year things are just beginning to come to life. The boys that were there had a big highlight when we spotted a dead deer in the woods. Most boys in this area only see a deer from the distance. Last Wednesday night we held the Pioneer meeting outside on the church lawn. We had them work by patrols setting up shelters with a plastic sheet and some string. The wind was blowing hard which made things a bit challenging.
The boys learned and grew ever closer in their bonds of fellowship. Our purpose was met.

Hello all,

Just wanted to thank God for that place where I can come and get inspired,
get some ideas, etc.

I am lately often in trips, so it puts a lot of work on me when I'm home. So
I don't have too much time to write posts. But just reading it is cool
already. It confirms my thoughts and ideas (like about points system and
pow-wows). Sometimes gives me new direction. It worth digging out 30 e-mails
every day :-)) And the inspiration and encouragement is most valuable.
Especially when you fight in the first row (as sometimes it looks like).
Halliluja!!!

Last week started another, 7th outpost in Russia near my place in Urals.
Then this week done LTC in Ufa (in my city) for 4 new commanders. Pray for
us. We plan to have first regional camp with our 2 outpost this July.

Bless,
Boris Chikota
