Within the next week, we will be getting a DSL line in our house - with that will come a new internet provider. This means that my website "Cookie's Place" will be moving to a new location. The move will take place gradually over the next 2 weeks and the site will officially be open on May 1. I am taking this opportunity to do a complete re-write of my site. I have not done a major update on it in about a year, so it is well overdue. Many of the things from the old site will be put on the new site, but I plan to expand all the areas. I have acquired almost 100MB of space for my site and plan to use it all. Some of the areas that I will include on my new site: 1. Devotions - I am making a dedicated effort to have over 200 devotions on the site. The plan is to have them cross-referenced by author and topic. (Example - at the end of a devotion by Adrian, there would be links to all the other devotions by him that are on the site.) Every effort will be made to verify and credit the author of each devotion (and other material on the site). 2. Lesson Plans - Start to finish plan for an outpost meeting from pre-meeting activity to program feature to game to devotion to closing ceremony. Basically, a "meeting in a can". I will pull many of these from my files, but am looking forward to submissions from others. 3. "Seeds" - This is a collection of ideas that are designed to inspire a story, devotion, or object lesson. 4. Games - Inside, outside, group, team-building, survival, etc. All sorts of games. 5. Commander Administrative - Advancement workbooks, Merit worksheets, attendance forms, parent's guide, worksheets to support merit completion, duty rosters, trip planning, etc. (Maybe a link to Mark Jone's Ranger database? Mark?) 6. Commander Inspiration - An area where the commander can get fed and motivated. There have been many posts on Rangernet over the years that inspired and motivated. 7. Fundraising ideas --- we all need ways to make money for our outposts. 8. Links to other Ranger Sites and resources on the web. 9. Jokes and Stories - I am screening these very carefully to hopefully prevent offending anyone. (This section may not make it.) 10. Pictures --- mine and yours. There will be probaly be some other sections as well. I would like to have a GMA listing page, testimonies, and some FCF stuff as well. ******** Now comes the help part. I need your devotions, lesson plans, links, any of the above and more. My vision is to turn this website into the largest, FREE resource for Royal Rangers on the web. I am making every effort to identify the author of everything posted and to ensure that it is posted with their permission. I have set up a new email address (unlimited capacity) to handle submissions to the new page. Unless you request it, I will not edit any submissions(spelling, grammar, etc). Please specify how you want to be identified and an email address. Additionally, I will be searching the archives for things to include and will contact individuals for permission to use their material. Don't wait! Start sending your stuff to me NOW. It can be sent in an email or an attachment... Does not matter. Thanks for your help and co-operation. The email address for page submissions is: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I will post the new page address as soon as I get at least the opening page posted. In His Service, Allen R.
