Okay,
Let's cool the derogatory (albeit veiled derogatory) comments about
Missionettes.
I know they don't have near the "anointing" (read dripping sarcasm here)
that Rangers has but truth be known they've been at it longer than we have.
Our Head Sponsor is an Honor Star AND a Ranger wife and mom. Those ladies
work hard to minister to our sisters and daughters/granddaughters and they
deserve respect and our prayers
Camping is a tool. That's all it is. An effective tool, yes, but a tool
nonetheless.
I for one will take all the tools that God sees fit to put in my hands.
As far as sewing goes. We just finished a sewing class in our Trailblazers
where they had to sew their own frontier shirts. Every one of them did it.
Most didn't miss a class and even took their shirts home with them to
finish. They had to hand sew them by the way and their next project is drop
front britches.
I remember a certain group of leaders who didn't like the ways of the new
guy in town. Everything had been fine for years, they felt, and God was
truly blessing their efforts. Change was not only NOT needed but threatened
their ministry.
They solved the problem by crucifying the troublemaker.
Brothers,
Pray!
Pray for wisdom for Cdr. Marriot and the National Staff (these guys are NOT
apostates for Heaven's sake!!)
Pray for Grace to accept INEVITABLE change. God is always moving. We're the
ones who prefer to stay in place
Pray for a larger toolbox and the WILLINGNESS to learn how to use the new
tools and better use the old tools.
This is God's ministry to HIS boys. I don't think OOPS! has ever been heard
from the Throne.
