Attention dads!

A few years ago, researchers conducted a survey to find out how long the
average father spent with his children per week, actually interacting with
them (i. e. in conversation, playing, reading to them, teaching them,
etc.). The answer was a shockingly low seven minutes. Brothers, that is
frankly not adequate! Granted, some totally absent fathers lowered the
average, but still, that is not enough.

I treasure the time spent with my children. We read the Bible together as
part of a bed-time ritual. We do fun things on the weekends. We have at
least one meal a day together. We just talk about whatever is on our
hearts. We pray together. We build treasure in Heaven, together. I assure
you, this pays off in peace in our house by the grace of God.

Read the last words in the Old Testament, some time, and see what God
thinks about fathers and children.
