Hello friends,
in my pre-spirit-filled days I came across this station and was thankful for
their programs.
I still think that they have a place in getting the gospel out.
If they would just leave out the part where they strongly stand for the
following then I could accept them as a MATURE ministry.
I am sorry to say that I can NOT recommend this station to anybody that
wants to move on in with his life in Christ.
After my baptism in the Holy Spirit I just felt compassion for these sincere
people for holding their peculiar position.
It is similar to my personal experience.
I grew up Bretheren, accepted Christ in my life.
Years after when I returned from Canada, where I was confronted with the
"there must be more then just conversion and try to live a christian life"
and was baptised in the spirit and when I shared my new joy and faith with
my former bretheren and baptist fellows I was literally shunned.
Now that they have observed me long enough to see that I am not spooky they
slowly accept my testimony.
What I want to say is. I am thankful for my Bretheren upbringing, there I
was led to Christ, praise God for that.
Even then the anti-pentecostal attitude prevailed there and I almost started
to hate that movement.
But to grow further God had to move me on and since I had to shake a lot of
the following off.
However, their site also contains polemics against the gifts of the
Spirit.
They are very anti-tongues, anti-miracles, anti-prophecy in this day.
They
say that the operation of the Spirit ceased at the close of the John's
revelation, claiming all prophecy today is the result of Satinic
influence.
(How they explain God's prophets in the end time, I don't know.) Their
argument really puts God in a box.
To check it out for yourselves look under Online Literature for the
"Speaking-in-Tongues" article by the organization's president, Harold
Camping.
It is my concern now that we do not run them down but act as mature
Christians in that matter.
I hope that what I wrote is not already a put down.
I want to have sweet fellowship with them.
It works if we just leave our convictions at home and be sensitive.
It works both ways.
Also I had parents remove their kids from RR because they said that our
church is not a good church.
