"S, at one year after his session , continued to regard himself as
"transformed" and to behave as he feels he could only behave as a
consequence of an authentic transformation. These two criteria: subjective
certainty that a transformation has occurred, and behavioral changes of a
positive character supporting the certainty of transformation, seem to us to
be sufficient evidence that the person has in fact been transformed"

This quote is not from a great theologian or religous leader. Instead, it is
an excerpt from the book "Varieties of Psychedelic Experience".

These people were trying to prove that mind altering drugs had a lasting,
positive effect on people. They used several tests to prove that people had
been truly transformed after using these drugs. They carefully examined the
behaviour and attitudes of the subjects for extended periods of time after
the drugs were taken.

When we accept Christ, we are transformed. We are changed - we become one
of God's kids. We are a new creation. Do our actions prove that an
"authentic transformation" has taken place?

If we as Christians were exposed to the same degree of scrutiny that the
people in these tests were, would we pass? Would others looking at us see a
change in us?

As leaders, our boys look at us under a microscope. They watch our
reactions and interactions. They watch how we act around them and around
other adults.

What are they seeing?
