All,How come isn't our Rangers more involved in summer mission trips (like with aim, ect)?I'm kind of suprised that taking a missions trip is nota requirement for the GMA.

*Howdy- 'jes back from a fresh perspective and review of the proposed changes!

In reflection- nothing prevents a Ranger from attending any
mission trip and the intent of the new program is promote such events
as that..  *Credit would be given in the explorer program or
in FCF if it was a "pathfinder trip"...

But to tie attendance, participation in a missionary trip to
earning the GMA is outside the parameters of the trail
to the GMA as it stands...

Currently a Ranger must earn the "Christian Service merit"
"Light for the Lost" and the "Bible" merit and adding the
"Christian Missions" or a "Mission trip" would seem to
overwhelm the target of a 13 year old's GMA achievement.

*Perhaps the idea had merit... this is a time of Tweeking-
