I would like to take a moment and explain something to all of you. As a nurse I have
had extensive training on the transmission of aids and other blood borne virus among
other illnesses. I would like to explain that the aids virus doesn't live outside of
a live host but for short and I'm very short moments. ie as soon as it is out in the
open it needs to find a host right away or it is dead. That is why you can't get it
off a toilet seat or anything else a person has touched. In fact even if the person
had aids and had bled all over the seat if it was dry chances are you wouldn't get it
especially if your skin was in contact (no cuts or scrapes) the HIV virus can only
be transmitted by an infected needle immediately after use that is why as a nurse I
must take extra precautions when handling such items and it is why IV drug users have
such a problem cause they are sharing with each other as they get high together.
Generally you need to have the transmittal of bodily fl!
uids like as in intercourse in order to get this disease. It is such spreading of
nonesense that has prompted our schools to take a stand and have HIV classes for our
kids. Some of you may not like it but this kind of ignorance makes me sick as well.
I suggest that you do some research about what aids is and isn't and how it can and
can't be transferred if nothing else check out the pamplet the Light for the Lost has
out. In addition, you can email me or my husband if you have any questions but please
don't spread any more of this nonsense it causes more damage than anything else and
frightens people unneedly. Not to mention it isn't the Christian way to spread rumors
and that is what you are doing. Please also note their are diseases such as hepatitis
that are more easily spread than HIV. I hope this will shed some light on this
subject. Before you send anything on check it out and see if is true. If nothing
else run it by you heavenly father. Sorry if I have been a!
