Duane and Joshua are on their way to "Ranger Camp" - (formerlly known as POW
WOW but changed due to the protests of our Native American population in the
NW who apparently have coined the word POWWOW as their own).

In their absence I will find things to do to keep busy as not to have idle
hands and worse an idle mind. Outpost 206 and 354 have shut down as most of
you know. OP 206 lost their children's Pastor and OP 354 is in "transition"
looking for a new building and leadership.

At first Duane, Joshua and I felt discouraged, not understanding how it
could be that a program we have spent so many dedication to would just
dissapear? No matter how much we tried, we couldn't affect the ultimate
outcomes of both Outposts -- shut down. In each case it was the decision of
authorities higher than us.

But we are keeping busy. Duane and I are on District staff for the Boy
Scouts of America working as recruiting officers and teaching adult leaders
classes and we are also BSA merit counselors. I truly believe that this
training and experience will benefit Rangers in the long run and that God
has a bigger plan for us still in Rangers.
