My husband has been approved by our pastor to start a "Watch Dog" paper
regarding things that we as Christians need to be aware of but might not be.
He doesn't want to recreate the Salem witch hunt, but he would like reliable
varifiable information regarding topics like Pokemon, Harry S. Potter (yikes
this one should be obvious!), Power Beads (budism).

Pastor Cody doesn't really want items from the Christian Coalition and such
as some people might regard these as extreme points of view.

Like today I opened the Today section of the Dallas Morning News and came
across a 2 page article on Harry S. Potter. I had heard they were bad, but I
had no idea. The article gave lists of cast of characters and what they do,
definitions of terms such as wizards, wands, flying broomsticks, spell
casting, people coming back from the dead, etc. It also listed various
bookstores in the area hosting HSP parties.

If we use articles such as these they won't appear tainted. It is irritating
because as Christians we are to have strong beliefes but I understand what
the pastor is saying.

So if any one out there has links on the above mentioned topics and or other
topics you think should be included, please write me and let me know. All
help will be most appreciated.

God Bless You All!
