Well, as you know Chris and I started a new outpost the first week in April
with only 5 or 6 boys. Well, last week we had 12 and last night we had 14.
So I guess we have officially doubled in size.

We spoke on standards (what they are and where you keep them) last night and
it was really a lot of fun.

We applied everything we've learned in LTC and it really seemed to improve
our flow and we had never had "before the meeting" games or puzzles as we
have always seemed harried in getting to church in the first place. Last
night I had puzzles from www.puzzlemaker.com sitting on table when they got
there and the room was so amazingly quite. I could not believe it. It was
so effective that when I am done writing this post I'm going to make the
puzzle for next week.

Our biggest problem in the meeting is our room (and right now we only have
one) is maybe 10' by 10.' Last night we kicked the Missionetettes out
(politely) of the large room and had the youth group bring in two tables for
us. But hey if that is problem, I will take more of that!

I will ask you to keep one of my boys in prayer. His name is Nick. Last
night Chris invited Nick and Andrew to spend the night this weekend. Well,
Nick's Mom was visiting with us about it and then she asked if we knew about
Nick's dad. No, we didn't. His dad is in prison for two consecutive life
sentences with no hope for parole. Nick just found out, but he we in really
good spirits last night. Nick does not know we know.

Till now I have regarded Nick (10) as our problem child as he is the
wiggliest biggest chatterbox and always was doing something to get attention
from the boys. He was never bad just a little rowdy. Rowdy enough to try my
patience. When we first met he wanted to get into a charley horse match with
me had his little fists up bouncing around like a boxer. I told him go
ahead, I only give as good as I get (had mom's permission) he changed his
mind real quick. Wasn't expecting that from a lady ... but last night he
raced past the copy room where I was, thought he was in a hurry to get to
class so I didn't say anything, but he backed up and waved big smile, "Hi
Commander Kelly" It doesn't sound like a lot but it sure meant a lot to me,
I've even gotten a few hugs from him.

Please lift up Nick and pray that we keep the fire going that our training
and excitement have given us. We are believing for 200-250 boys. I know it
is outrageous...but that is what we are believing for. We have a poor
community lots of trailer parks etc....and a huge need for direction.

Sorry so long, but then I guess you should expect that from me by now.

God Bless

Kelly
