On August 25-27 Queens Section of the Spanish Eastern District,
had their Pow-Wow. We had 5 outposts for a total of 75 rangers in
attendance. We had individual skills competitions such as, Firecraft,
Toolcraft, Bible, First Aid, Compass, Lashing, Ropecraft. The group
competitions were, Ropecraft Relay race, Stretcher Bearer race, Chariot
Race, Tug of War, Obstacle Course. We also conducted a scavenger hunt, in
which we hid golden rocks all around the campsite. Anyone ranger who found
those rocks would receive a new golden dollar coin.
Our guest speaker almost did not make it to the Pow-Wow. On
his way to the Pow-Wow his car would always turn off. I received a voice
message from him saying, that he would have to turn back and try to come on
Saturday, even possibly not be able to come at all. The devil always tries
to step in when something good is about to happen. He then just prayed and
put his faith in our Lord. He showed up on friday minutes before it was
time for the sermon. God is good!!! We received a big outpouring of the
Holy Spirit on both nights of the Pow-Wow. We want to thank God for that.
20-30 boys gave their lives to Christ.
Let's just stop for a second and praise the almighty for all
his blessings.
