Next Sunday, Sept. 17, I will be resigning my position as Senior Commander
at Belton AG. I've been involved with Rangers at outpost 31 for 12 years and
have been sr. commander here for 9 years. I will still be in and around
Rangers(my new position is Outpost Chaplain). Until a replacement shows up,
I will still be teaching a class on Wednesday night. Of course -- I will
still be on the Ranger and FCF outings.

I will be focusing more on bus ministry, children's church, and children's
outreach activities. I have already been involved in these areas, but by
passing the sr. commander position to somebody else I will have more time to
devote to these.

The new Senior Commander of outpost 31 will be Michael Wasmer. He has been
active in our outpost for many years and is very dedicated to Rangers.
Several of you in the Southern Missouri District probaly know him best for
his Buckaroo classroom setup or for his ?famous? wake-up chorus of "Rise and
shine and give God the glory, glory..." that is heard every morning at
pow-wow in our camp.

Mike is here on rangernet but has not posted anything yet. Say hello to him
and let's see if he will make his voice heard here.

For those close enough to attend(and want to), there will be a change of
command ceremony Sunday night, Sept. 17 at Belton Assembly of God. The
service starts at 6PM. Brother Bill Baker, former pastor of Belton AG, will
be speaking.

In His Service,
Allen R. Cook - Cookie
