All,
You may not belive this ,but, I had Special Education when I was in school. It makes me angry to think at some of stuff that happened. They claim they are helping the student.
They aren't helping they're only doing what they see fit.
For example, I wanted to take AFJROTC the first year it was in my school. They come back and tell me " No, it might be to hard. Wait tell next year."
The course is about leadership, Military, avation. Stuff that I enjoy. How could that be "to hard'?
A year later my family moved. I took a vocational course at the old school and got in AFJROTC. The AFJROTC really turned things around for me. I started makeing good grades and felt good about myself. Sounds like someone was wrong.
I was only in it a month when mom died.
I think Special Ed shouldn't deny someone something because it's "too hard". It makes me mad that can't go back and take the course.
I did manage to earn the rank of airman before I had to quit the course.
