If you place the paper cup in the coals, it will not burn down to the water
line.  The reason the paper cup does not burn is that the boiling point of
water is lower then the temperature at which paper burns.  I would not use a
Styrofoam cup.

Save the ANTC fee, here's how to do the eggs and bacon in the paper bag
trick:  Take a lunch bag, spray PAM inside, drop in some bacon, and eggs
(without the shell), and hang over the coals.  The PAM keeps the stuff from
sticking to the paper.
