Hello All,
During the last month or so, I've watched - read and responded (some
times not in the best way possible) to the many variety of subjects. At
times I've felt happy about some items, upset on others and even to the
point of angry. Then I have felt God pulling gently on the lines to my
heart. I don't believe that any of us are here to have our point reign
supreme or to have our self feel vindicated. God has gently reminded me
that we ARE His children and part of His family. Just like our families,
we don't see eye to eye all of the time. That doesn't mean that we are
no longer family. If we don't strive to get along now, we will have ALL
eternity to get it right. I have truly appreciated all the ideas that
have been shared and have chosen the ones that I think will work best in
the Outpost that I direct. I also know that everything that works at my
church may not work in others. That is why we should all pray that God
will allow us to see with His eyes so that we can see what will Reach,
Teach and Keep the boys that God has given to us to help. My Grandfather
and Father were and are preachers, Grandpa once told this to my Dad and
he to me. "I think that the Christians that we have the hardest time
getting along with will be our neighbors in heaven. That way there will
be plenty of time to get it right. And while were trying to get it
right, God will be sitting on His throne having a good rip roaring laugh
as He watches us. So, we might as well get it right while we're here -
don't ya think?"
Even though Grandpa died before I was born, I think that I'll know him
right away once I'm in heaven. His legacy was given to my Dad and he to
me. Now it's my turn to my kids, both the Ranger and Missionette kids as
well as my own.
God Bless to all,
Kerry Mangum
