Hello,

I don't think that there is anything that can turn me off faster than the
typical election babbling. There is always a he said she said, half
truths, innuendoes and the list goes on. This election is about the same
as the others, maybe a little less mud slinging than I've seen before. I
think that the only thing we can do is PRAY that God Himself will guide
us. I can list items that are good about both bush and gore (yes, lower
case intentional), and I can also list bad about bush and gore. What is
really important is what God wants in our country. The founding fathers
pledged there lives, families and fortunes to establish it as a Godly
country. I don't think that a candidate is someone that I must like
(that is a feeling), I must be able to stand before God and say that I
listened to His voice and voted according to HIS WILL, not mine. I am
not perfect, ONLY God is. In order to establish this country as a great
nation for God will require us ALL to spend time on our knees seeking
God's face and His plan for us and our country.

Earlier I noted that "lower case intentional", this election shouldn't be
about which candidate is better liked, or "comes across well", or even -
"he really connects with me". It is about what God wants for us. In the
Bible we are told that we are not of this world but we are in it. I pray
that we don't get caught up in the world and react as the world does but
only as God wants us to.

I am deliberately NOT promoting one candidate or the other. Your
decision must be between you and God only. I have never pushed my wife
to vote as I do. I do encourage her to pray and to follow Gods leading.
After the election, we share with each other and find that we voted the
same.

WE MUST HAVE GODS CHOICE FOR THIS COUNTRY!

Even though our money still says "In God We Trust", our country doesn't
reflect that statement very clearly. For many decades, Africa has been
considered one of the largest mission fields and all the denominations
have sent money and workers to reach those in Africa. Many years ago, I
met a missionary from South Africa. He was in Fort Worth and was very
busy going from church to church and meeting with any and all that he
could. He wasn't trying to raise funds to go back to the mission field.
HE WAS IN HIS MISSION FIELD. The great country of God had been looked on
as a mission field and missionaries had been sent to reach us for God.

As in another email, a brother shared a section of God's letter to us.
If we humble ourselves AND PRAY, that is the key that opens the door for
God. Just as in our lives, God will NOT force Himself - but stands at
the door knocking - waiting for us to open it to Him and to let Him in to
live with us. The same is true for our country, He stands at the door
and knocks. What will we do?

I'm sorry that this is so long, but I hope and pray that it will help
refocus our vision to what God wants for us all.

God bless you, and God (please) Bless America.
