Saturday, it was the brainstorm of one of the boys to sell mistletoe...Joshua climbed his grandmother's tree and picked (gloved) a hefty bag full of mistletoe. Four boys, two commanders, and our mascot cum Royal Missionette AKA Hanna the Banana tied curly ribbons that we already had and we went into grandpas neighborhood where we know people and we turned that trash bag of free mistletoe in to more than sixty dollars in a little over two hours at two dollars a cluster. We have permission from our school district to pick as much mistletoe as we want from the trees around their bus barn and so we will be going out next weekend in outside the church after the Children's program. This will be going towards camping equipment and uniforms. I believe that by Christmas we will make over three hundred dollars with free product form an idea from one of the boys. We got to tell people about Rangers and our church. It was a lot of fun and the boys were so proud because they come up with it. One of the elders asked how we did with our trashbag full of stuff and when we told him he just couldn't believe it. I know $60.00 doesn't sound like much, but some of our boys have a hard time bringing fifty cents. - JENKENS & GILCHRIST E-MAIL CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE - This transmission may be: (1) subject to the Attorney-Client Privilege, (2) an attorney work product, or (3) strictly confidential.
