Being a virgin does not guarantee a perfect marriage. If one uses that for a
base for a perfect marriage then they will be disappointed. It takes a lot of
patience, love, understanding and forgiveness and sacrifice. What virginity
does bring is a start in purity and little chance of any disease that could
cause great harm.
One thing we need to becarfull about, we teach and preach at the kids to
wait, and that's a good thing, but, we end up drumming it into them that sex
before marriage is a horrible sin. Im not saying that it is not a sin but
what happens is all of a sudden they sign their name on a piece of paper and
say the words I do suddenly what was once sinful is now ok. Sometimes that
causes a lot of psychological problems. I have seen it happen. we do need to
be careful how we teach the subject because in the long run we may do more
harm than good.
