Excellent-
*All this sounds aggreeable to me, but I also assume that
there will be more points as we meet each goal, so that
we will be forever on the trail to becomeing a better Royal Ranger!
Remember what we have for a *tool-
We have this *Time... and this *Cyberspace... and our local Outpost!
We have our *Story... and our *Church and the influence of our family!
We have our training... and our fellowship, and the hand's on experiance
of when things don't go as *planned<G>
*Let me share just a brief 'memory<G>
NTC has been a hot-topic on Rangernet.
Many have good, and not so good experiances of it.
I came back, with the *suggestion that the Patrol system was
critical to the success of my Outpost. That Boy Leadership..
(As I assumed NTC Sr.Guide portrayed) was the desire of
National Training Camp!
*If I only reserched RR materials on the subject, shortly you
and I would hit a wall. RR just does not have the resources to
fully explain the princeipals in place for such a structural
set-up in the Outpost, tho you do see patrols and guides ect.
*For me.. this led to reading BSA scout materials, and even
joining a Troop in my town<G> *That act led me to post what
I found as differences and simularities between RR and BSA!
(*I didn't see on your list that you wanted that information)
At a Scout camp, I testifyed for Royal Rangers.. and found
I was in the company of Adults who attended churches that were
outside the AG fellowship<G> but also "Brothers in the Lord".
Our agreements overshadowed any differences<G>
*Shall I assume, you prefere to only chat about internal
Royal Ranger organizational resources? personalities?
'just wondering?
...while writeing this, I had a Law Professor come to
me, admit being upset.. and *confessing that she had
"blown up" at a stressfull disapointment<G>
Without knowing what the issue was, I knew what to say<G>
*Sometimes it's hard to deal with difficult people, and
communicate values held in the heart, by the words and
language we share. Sometimes we 'stress-out and have
"mad minutes" that are out of character with the person
we think we are.<G> This is the "human condition"
It's times like that.. when we need our "core" values
to return us to a place of rest in Christ. We cast
our cares on him, but also dust off the gravel from
the pavement we hit and do our best to walk on!
I want my Ranger boys to walk on the right side!
I want them to *THINK before crossing the road..
..and I want them to return to a place of rest
in Christ!
