Last night my husband was encouraging the boys to ask questions about this
very topic. he also encouraged them to speak to their parents about it. He
also encouraged them to search their hearts regarding their Christian walk,
baptism in the Spirit and yes the evidence of speaking in tongues.

These are hot topics in our church right now as we have at least 150 waiting
for water baptism. We've had so many saved of late but we do not have a
baptismal font. Till we move to our new facilities we have decided to rent
a facility at Christ for the Nations so we can baptize and celebrate the
wonders thereof.

I see nothing wrong with speaking to the boys about baptism. My Bucks have
just started working on the God and Me Award and I m sure that this is a
topic that will come up. I find it exciting to think about sharing it with
my boys. My oldest daughter was baptized the same day I was and it was a
blessing I shall never forget. (cold too!)

Subject: [RR] Ranger baptism

All,
I know this has been talked about before. However I have
a new angle I'd like to look at.
When in Rangers I know many boys get saved. I don't see them going through
with baptism. Why couldn't A Sr. Commander A. explain baptism to his boys
and B. goto his pastor and say " Pastor, I've have x number of boys get
saved the past year. I have x number of boys wanting to go through with
baptism."
I just think baptism is something that is highly overlooked in Rangers.
Saying the sinners gets you saved. Baptism is symbolic of dying with Christ
and coming up a new person.
