All,

Here is the devotion I will be doing with the Buckaroos.

It may not be 100% like this but I thought I'd give you a overview.

Later,

The wild west was a time filled with adventure and danger.

There were the good guys who tried to make a honest living.

Yet there were others who were bank robbers, cattle thiefs and outlaws.

I want to tell you about a famous outlaw who had many adventures right

here in Missouri. His name was Jesse Woodson James. Many of you

know him simply as Jesse James. Jesse James was born on September

5, 1847. In 1863 he joined the rebel army. After the Civil war Jesse tried to

surrender to union forces but was shot. This is belived to be on of the

reasons he bacame an outlaw. Over the next several years Jesse and his brother Frank robbed many trains and banks all over Missouri and as far north as Michigan. On April 3, 1882 Jesse was at home with his family.

He noticed a picture that was crooked and went to fix it. With his back turned Robert Ford fired the shot that killed Jesse James.

Some call Jesse James a American Robin Hood. As the song says he robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. Others simply call him a murder.

The Bible often talks about the thief. In John 10:10 it say the The thief comes to kill and steal and destroy; I come so that they might have life.

Satan is thief. He comes to kill and steal and destroy. He robs you of your joy, peace and sound mind. He destroys christian friendships and familys.

He gets you to think thoughts unpleasing to the Lord. All this because he is a thief. I want you to take a look at yourself tonight. Has Satan took anything from you that you want back? If he has just slip your hand up and right back down. The second question is for those of you that may not know Jesus.

Has Satan been telling you lies? Has he been saying it is not real, It will not work, the Commanders are just makeing it up? If he has and you would like to know Jesus as your Lord just lift up your hand. Let's pray.
