[Spirit Rider]

All, I am wanting to go Wilderness in FCF in the next few years. I was looking at nationals homepage and noticed they listed four merits I must earn under the new program. Wilderness Survival, Primative Shelters, Traps & Snares and Christian Service. All these merits sound fun to earn however there is nothing listed as to how to earn the merits. I know Wilderness Survival and Christian Service is listed in the Leaders manual. Will those two merits be the same under the new program? I also noticed that under the new program a 11 year old  Pioneer can earn his Frontiersmen pin. I think this is great as some churches do not have the older age groups. By allowing 11 year olds to get there Frontiersmen pin it exposes them to FCF. Thus giving them reason to stay in Rangers. The thing that I'm worried about is some 11 year olds are not mature enough to be in FCF.  I guess this is one of the reasons the boy is recommended by the Outpost Commander.   Later, Noel "Spirit Rider" Bell
