That's the Yellow Rose of Texas and is in reference to I believe a mulatto
woman what used to be known as 'High Yellow," being as how I am very pale
and polka dotted I don't think I'd qualify. The Yellow rose was name Emily
and was a slave she saved the hide of some of our forefathers, see the
