Hi Adrian, Brian, et al
I have finally made it back. I was a little nervous not knowing what I'd
find after a years absence, but all I can say is IT IS GOOD TO BE HOME. "A
woman's place in Rangers, grits, vegemite, and lighthearted banter" ALL
STILL HERE. Smile.
My name is Lorraine Mourning. I have been involved with Rangers for just
over a year, after teaching Missionette's for 15 years. I have been around
Rangers for the last 9 years, ever since my son became a SA. I always tried
to be an involved parent. Two Years ago my husband was Sectional Commander
and I served as the Aide-de-camp. Unfortunately due to too many pressures at
work he had to turn it over this year. I also served as a Senior Commander
for 8 months until our former church found a man who was willing to take
over the Ranger Program.(Long story) I am currently a Buckaroo Sheriff and
loving every minute of it at OP #67 Northside Assembly. I have just finished
the SA/B LTC, and last year completed LTC, with the exception of the
campout. I will attend the campout this year along with the other I was with
last year. Terrible fires in New Mexico last year made it impossible for us
to complete the course.
On the more personal side. I am a homeschooling mother of two. Randy is 14
and GMA #3590. Misty is 11, and has received the Missionette Bronze Medal of
Achievement thus far. My husband Ron still helps out when and where ever he
can with Rangers.
I'd like to say thank you to both Brian and Adrian for remaining friends
even through all the times I was "off" Rangernet. Both brothers have been a
tremendous blessing to me throughout the years. I AM glad to see more women
out there. I won't feel so lonely now. Smile.
God Bless You All,
Reign Down Your Spirit, Lord!
Sheriff "Rainy" Mourning
Buckaroo Commander #76
