In Royal Rangers today there exist several factions..
We have those who look for *promise and those that
desire *performance. We have many who are lost on
the trail to understanding, and some who look back
and see that building bridges builds the *Ministry/program
into a cleaner trail for those who follow..
One great chasum I detect is the gulf between-
"The way things ought to be" and "The way things are"
I wanted to take a moment to build a bridge<G>
I beleve that the boys do not to invest in the later..
Things can change in the blink of an eye and often do!
The world of limits in resources and talent is a Adult
world where we struggle to do our best.
When boys come to Rangers they expect fairness, safe
harbors, adventure taylored to their age, and fun.
I beleve that they are willing to play a game, and join
with you as an Adult to make that game a success!
The bridge over this chasum is Leadership!
The talent that we gain by trial and error is relational to
our efforts to build a bridge for the boys who come.. This
is why it is our duty to plan balanced meetings and events!
It is our duty to empower the boys to leadership, and not
to waste their time with pompous lectures.
Todays point my friends is that *WE are the bridges over
the canyons and the boys are to walk all over us!<G>
