You should have your new copies of the High Adventure by now. We just got
ours this week. The Leader's Edition has several articles from Nat'l Staff.
One is on the "transitional" GMA requirements which are to segue into the
new requirements by 12/31/02.
These transitional requirements are in effect as of 3/01/01. There are some
new advancements that are alternatives to some of the required merits for
GMA at this time, i.e. substituting the new Family Life Merit for God and
Family and some others that I can't recall off hand at the moment.
Additionally, the required reading of the Leader's Manual may be substituted
with a special Gold Medal Christian Service project.
These new merits for the "Transitional GMA" are supposed to be available at
the Nat'l website sometime after 3/01/01.
