I have been thinking and praying for each of you tonight (ale and female) and
realizing what wonderful people you all are. Today, children are so
different than 500 yrs ago when we started out teaching in Sunday Schoo, VBS,
and eventually public school. When we started out, children believed
everything you told them no matter how impossible it seemed. Let's face it,
walking on water, raising the dead, parting the sea?
Now they question EVERYTHING and don't just take your word for it. That's
healthy and good. Just be prepared for it. They have been raised with
no-concience heroes on tv and in the movies who could do horrendous things
and then walk away. Their daily world is so unreal and the schools are so
full of the spirit of fear and rebellion, they have their home life and you
all to stand between them and the spirits of darkness. I'm probably not
expressing this wellk so don't come back and correct me if it isn't perfect,
I had a stroke a few months ago and I use it every chance I get for my
stupidity. ha ha
All I am saying is this, I am proud to be in your company...warriors in a
hard battle for the very souls and minds of our young people. It comes with
a price, time for preparation, time for meetings, aggravation, all when you
would sometimes rather go home and hide in the tv room. But remember this,
when Jesus cast the legion into the pigs, the owners of the pigs were
furious. They ranted and raved, but they forgot that that was a small price
to pay for a soul. Some sow in tears and others reap in joy. The pioneer
leaders are grateful for the Buckaroo leaders and they in turn are grateful
for the Straight Arrow leaders.
Hang in, all of you and look into each boy's eyes and see the promise of the
Kingdom. They are so precious to Him Who shed His Blood. So are you.
Thanks for being there for them. Nowadays, we get letters, e mail and phone
calls from kids whose lives we've touched and they say such nice things. It
made me realize the enormity of what you do. Hangeth in their my friends.
Love from Janet
