Howdy Commander! At first thought.. the JOB of Royal Ranger Commander is daunting enough to scare good people away! *If you beleve Commander is the "Mr.Know it all" expert.. you can be assured that few are up to the task. Many confuse the job with *Teaching... yet in honesty, the title we hold is *Leader. LEADER- I'd like you to think for one moment about makeing the job of Commander not one of "Teaching boys to be Rangers" to one of *Leading boys to become... and that is something entirely different. When the USA went in to give aid to people in poverty around the world, they quickly learned that provideing food only was being shortsighted! *To really help a person, you should work to have them be able to help themselves and prosper untill they can help others..help themselves! *So it should be with Commander! He leads his boys, by helping them to help each other! He builds teams, and explains the game by which the *Boys play! ...and in the process he cooly watches the Outpost grow in grace. Do your boys come to *join in...? Do your boys proudly show you their work? Can they trust you for a word of kindness? Remember, your best is to know them.
