Dear Rangers, I just got this from the AoG Newsletter; * ARGUE MEETS WITH KING OF JORDAN Dr. Don Argue, president of the A/G's Northwest College (Seattle, WA), met with His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan in Washington, D.C., on April 4, 2001. Argue co-hosted the meeting of nearly 50 Christian leaders under the banner of "The Christian Friends of Jordan." Those in attendance included pastors, broadcasters, denomination heads, educators and leaders of para-church organizations from across the U.S. International leaders were also in attendance including Pastor Paul Yonggi Cho of Seoul, Korea. The King expressed his desire to help the U.S. Church support Jordanian Christians including the possibility of enabling Christian broadcasts in his country. He also underscored his desire to help U.S. Christians visit historically significant and holy sites in Jordan. The King's comments focused on peace in his homeland. Several times he said, "we must work together for peace." On behalf of the group, Dr. Argue expressed, "We represent the part of the Church that is growing most rapidly. The evangelical church in Jordan is growing as well. We want His Majesty to know that we support his efforts to enable the Church in Jordan to continue their good work." So pray for this man and his sister as they witness for Jesus in an Islamic country. There's a storm coming, our Storm. PROCLAIMING GOD'S LOVE TO A DYING WORLD Say to the captives, 'come out,' and those in darkness, 'Be free!'
